Getting Started

With years of experience in web site development and providing customer service we begin by consulting each prospect such as yourself about the kind of web site you want and what you want to accomplish.

Once we know what you want and you are satisfied we have the ability to get the project done we begin by finding a look for your site. Maybe you already have this information ready. If not it would be a good idea to research the internet regarding your industry and copy down their web site address to email us as a reference. You may send links referencing the way you want the web site lay out, another may show the style or the way it interacts with the user. These references though not mandatory may make it easier for you to describe precisely what you want.

Once it has been decided which way the web site will look and the way things will work we will submit a quote/contract for your approval that will need to be signed and returned with payment/deposit for the work to begin. Usually work is completed within 2 to 3 weeks

At the end of a project sometimes even during we will walk a client through the back-end so they may begin to get a feel for managing the site and maybe even begin to add their own pages and content.

Any questions or request please call 800-570-8394.

The Process

First is the discussion of the project and agreement to move forward. You must provide information we will be needing to produce your site. General questions such as the contact information for the site, some reference as to the manner it will work, be viewed and how you want your menus to work. Things of this nature that are more easily provided by us asking in a conversation than maybe you filling out on a form. We can help you with your thought process.

If you don't already have a domain name one needs to be registered. We can register one for you in your name if you're not familiar with the process. Registration documentation will be emailed to you upon registration.

If you do have a domain name you will need to change the nameserver information to point to our servers or you must provide us with the User ID and Passwrd to change the information for you.

The next step is to configure and set up the hosting service for your web site using your domain name information.

We then begin to set up what will be the framework for your site and as we progress through major steps we usually call and discuss things to assure that we are following as needed to complete the project as requested.

After the work has been completed we send your information regarding  your web site and administration area. Through a phone conversation we then walk you through your website and administration and if everything is right we will have finished your site development as requested.

Of course we offer support to help you with your continued use of your site. We don't expect for you to remember all things after the final walk through. We understand you may have issues that may develop with time, changes you may wish to make regarding programming things of this nature.

Programming

A web site is made up of different programming parts to make the site interactive for the users and they go by different names such as programs, scripts, modules, components and such.

Most people just want a particular type of site such as informational, a shopping cart, blog or forum and these can also be combined into one site.

I wont go much into the more complicated type of sites here because just having to read the description of so many may be tiring. But pretty much anything you want to do you can do with a web site from selling clothing items to changing the world. The internet is just going to keep on growing and so any service you can provide to help organize people and information and make things easier may be a benefit and a good idea.

Nowadays there are many excellent open source "free" programs that are as good and usually better supported than many programs that are sold. Obviously if they are free they get tested much more and more people using it means the program is continuously being improved and reported on.

Some scripts such as a reservation system or a good affiliate system you can only purchase and these over the years have become more reasonably priced.

Still the main work comes in consolidating these things together and the configuration and look to match what the client wants.

Open Source is the reason you can now have a powerful site at a very reasonable price that years ago might  have cost you sunstantially more.
